ApeRacing - Now we just twist and go.

We have been doing up a Piaggio NRG found in the bowels of
Taffspeed Racing's Workshop in Newport over the last year.
The weekend before Rowrah race we had it running so we
took it up to Rowrah but didn't get a chance to run it very
much.
Last weekend I did, at Suzuki Owners Club Mopedathon at Finmere near Buckingham, when i rode the NRG for a 5 hour event on an airstrip track for charity.
The circuit was not unlike wittering airstrip, with a clay like surface on the concrete and a good spattering of rain.
There were just two teams from mmrc (H Racing and Ape Racing) but there were a lot of other teams that lurk in the charity series (cheapest racing). As it was me and me van - I rode the full event on our NRG - over 140 km which was a lot of laps.. H Racing spent most of their time in first and second gear. It drew lots of attention though..
